Connecting to 'MyServer' or 'MyPartners' via a secure VPN link  (Page 1 2 3)

These instructions are three pages long and quite easy to follow for the non technically minded, however novices may wish to print off all three pages.  Please ensure you complete each step exactly as detailed.  If you have a problem, delete the entry within your Network connections and simply start again.

If you are using Windows logon permissions, please ensure you are logged on as a user with local Administrator rights before continuing. 

From the control panel (Start button, select Control Panel), you may elect to change to the "Classic View" of the Control Panel, choose Network Connections, then either Make a new connection or Add a new Connection (depending on version of Windows).  At the following screen choose Next.



Then choose Connect to a business network through a VPN as follows and click Next.



And click Virtual Private Network and click next



Then choose a name for this connection.  We suggest calling it 'MyServer' so that all users know what it is, then click next.



Then assuming you are on broadband and you don't need to dial a connection, select Do not dial the initial connection and choose next.



Then enter the IP address of the MyServer service we have provided you with and click next.



Click on Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop.  Click finish then (see next page).
